We are seeking a Client Accounting Concierge to join our growing accounting team to help drive this mission forward. As a Client Concierge, you will ensure a seamless client experience through the onboarding, catch-up, and handoff of new clients and set the tone of our commitment to proactive and timely client communications.

Areas of Responsibility

Client Communications and Experience:

  • Participate in new client kickoffs and run new client onboarding meetings after handoff from the salesperson
  • Timely client communications including information requests, responding to questions, and updates on the status of their work
  • Build and strengthen client relationships by consistently delivering value and prioritizing both proactive and responsive communications
  • Translate “accounting” into “business owner speak”

Client Documents and Information:

  • Monitor client portal for submitted information, communicate missing information to clients and follow up consistently
  • Pull client financial information from various sources, including payroll, third party payment processors, etc. in order to process bookkeeping
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date client information and records

New Client Onboarding, Catch-Up, and Recurring:

  • Catch up or open and set up new client books and get them up to date for handoff to monthly accountant 
  • Clean up or set up processes, files, bank feeds, chart of accounts, etc. for handoff to monthly accountant
  • Deliver monthly accounting for a small subset of clients in addition to onboarding work
  • Prepare 1099s, sales tax, payroll, bill pay, and other deliverables as needed

Continuous improvement:

  • Identify and help execute on opportunities to improve team and client communication, processes, and collaboration
  • Identify additional client service opportunities (such as virtual CFO, tax, or M&A due diligence) and bring to manager
  • Identify technology that will improve efficiency and accuracy

  • Client satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy
  • Timeliness and accuracy of deliverables
  • Process improvements

Expectations for Remote Work

  • “Core” hours overlapping with other team members to collaborate efficiently
  • Available via chat, phone, and video during core hours
  • We provide a laptop, 2 monitors, and docking station as needed

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years experience in accounting and bookkeeping
  • 2+ years experience in Quickbooks Online
  • Keeper experience a plus
  • Exposure to U.S. taxes a plus
  • Familiarity with a variety of software applications, such as Microsoft Office, Gmail and Google Meet, project management software, and Adobe, and the ability to quickly learn new programs. 
  • Prior experience in customer service a plu
